Black Out Eyes

If a tear happens in the retina, fluid gets behind the retina and lifts it off the wall of the eye, causing a perceived darkness of vision. Vascular problems could be the cause of a sudden vision blackout.

There are a number of reasons that an eye can become white when it is blind. The most common would be a mature cataract. Also, a total retina detachment can cause the eye to be white as can corneal decompensation. Blind eyes also tend not to point straight ahead anymore either.

Other Possible Causes. Other causes of a vision blackout include: High blood pressure. Visual migraine (painful headache) Optic neuropathy. Giant cell arteritis. Increased intracranial pressure (in the skull)

Floaters, or black spots, are simply a sign of aging. The little specks are shadows cast by strands of the vitreous, the gel-like filling that keeps your eye round. The vitreous shrinks over time, becoming stringy in the process. These strings start to cast shadows that you see as black spots.

With any degree of detachment, you will suddenly see many black spots along with light flashes. This is considered an eye emergency–it can lead to blindness if not treated, or your peripheral vision may be impaired for life. You must treat it within two or three days.

Cataracts may also cause the pupil to appear white. Most causes of white pupil will cause decreased vision. This may often occur before the pupil appears to be white. Detecting a white pupil is especially important in infants. Babies are unable to communicate to others that their vision is decreased.

What is the cause of white appearing on the iris of eye? There is more than one reason why the iris of an eye may become white. The most common reason is caused by age and is called arcus senilus (a terrible term to those of us who are getting older).

Blacking out while standing up is a condition, commonly described as a feeling of lightheadedness or dizziness. This may be experienced when raising from a seated or sleeping position or even when rising from the floor.

During an alcohol blackout, the brain loses the ability to learn and store information almost . The receptors being blocked help to prevent the brain from creating new memories of any sort. This is why when we finally sober up- we have no recollection of the time period and what we were doing.

Blackouts are often associated with alcohol consumption. For many people, drinking too much alcohol too quickly, or on an empty stomach, can cause a blackout. A blackout can also be caused by: epileptic seizures. fainting. low blood pressure. psychogenic seizures. low blood sugar.

Eye floaters are spots in your vision. They may look to you like black or gray specks, strings, or cobwebs that drift about when you move your eyes and appear to dart away when you try to look at them directly. Most eye floaters are caused by age-related changes that occur as the jelly-like substance (vitreous) inside your eyes becomes more liquid.

Seeing occasional black spots is quite normal. It is something that many people experience throughout their lives. The black spots you see are called floaters that are simply a natural sign of aging.

Black dots may be due to floaters due to normal aging changes of the vitreous in the back of the eye, a vitreous hemorrhage, or a visual field defect (loss of part of the vision) from a stroke-like episode. Black dots could be a sign of a retinal tear or detachment.

When the debris of bacteria and lymphocytes get caught in the vitreous, they tend to disturb the vitreous and trigger the occurrence of eye floaters. A person may experience floaters when red blood cells leakage, or white blood cells accumulation in the vitreous.
